Second Flight. [text from blackthorn city.]

Turns out that when you spend all your time flying around the world having your pokemon destroy inn furniture, you kind of run out of money.

[And he's way too stubborn to accept Carmen paying for everything all the time, even with her unexplained reserves of cash. So here he goes...!]

To fix that, I'm taking commissions for leather goods! I've been doing this for...just about forever, so I can make just about anything put of whatever this world's version of leather is, really -- saddles, bags, saddles with bags, coats, coats with bags, bags with hidden bags, you get the idea. I can also work with metal, but I'd rather not make any weapons. I'm thinking more along the lines of prosthetic limbs (not that most of you have need for that) or jewelry.

Depending on what it is, we can talk out a price that works. Call in today and receive a free egg or bunny rock thing with your order!

Or just call in if you want the pokemon and something crafted, I guess. I'll have a list of egg moves for the ones I have on hand, but if that's all you want then I'll need to ask you to pay for them. The daily swarm pokemon just need a good home. Haven't seen what these new guys can do in battle yet, but if you're in a pinch, they make an excellent dragon-repelling disco ball*!

*May or may not actually repel dragons. The scientists are still hard at work on that one.

[And as promised, HERE is his egg list, attached to the message! It includes pictures of Eevee, Arcanine, Scrafty, Emolga, and the mysterious Carbink, with notes that the Arcanine and Scrafty are evolved forms. Also shown are examples of things he's made (warning: that last one is a gif.)

EGGS STILL AVAILABLE.]
enjoymyatelier: actually, it totally will. (aha! a plan that will not end in failure)

[don't encourage him he'll get smug]

And of course, the scientist is quite confused about the whole thing himself, but what else is new? Nothing making sense here is par for the course here, but...

Well, either way, it's positively fascinating. I really have to wonder --- could it be some sort of unique ability? After all, there is precedent for abilities completely nullifying certain types of attacks and, occasionally, converting them into energy for the Pokemon that's being attacked. I suppose it could be more general like Levitate, but it's definitely something I want to look further into.
enjoymyatelier: maybe he should check the foundations, come to think of it. (red car. good point.)

To be fair, there are also Pokemon out there that have very unique abilities that are also their only abilities --- see, for example, Shedinja and its Wonder Guard. It's entirely possible that this new discovery could be one of those rare examples, though it's still too early to say for sure.

Well, Ice is rather fragile to begin with --- I don't have all that much experience with the type, but the one I do have doesn't seem to have any particular resistance to the Dragon type, though it could be that it's simply powering itself through hate.

Honestly, Ice would be a little less hapless if it did resist Dragon. It's really a rather unfortunate type otherwise...

Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if this drew some international attention. Even if these Pokemon happen to be known in some other region, the fact that they were suddenly raining out of the sky must be unexpected.

At least, I would hope so.

Well, they did practically have a festival when those Goomy things showed up. Personally, I'm wondering if people are acting calmer about this sort of thing than they really are.

...of course, it probably is difficult to rattle people who have lived with Pokemon their whole lives, given how utterly bizarre some of them are to begin with.
